News from Yahoo:
The live telecast on Sunday from Studio 8H at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, where "Saturday Night Live" is produced, will feature a mix of celebrity walk-ons and tributes punctuated by clips from NBC's most memorable shows.
Produced by "SNL" veteran Lorne Michaels, the show will be hosted by some NBC's biggest stars, among them Bill Cosby, Michael J. Fox, Kelsey Grammer, Jay Leno and Jerry Seinfeld.
Joining the casts of current hits like "Friends," "Will & Grace" and "ER" will be reunions of regulars from such past favorites as "Cheers," "Family Ties," "Hill Street Blues," "L.A. Law," "Miami Vice" and "I Spy."
The star of the landmark 1950s comedy-variety hit "Your Show of Shows," Sid Caesar, will be there, as well, and so will Barbara Eden of "I Dream of Jeannie," Don Adams from "Get Smart," Peter Falk of "Colombo" and Mr. T from "The A-Team."
One notable no-show will be Johnny Carson, the retired "Tonight Show" host who turned down a personal appeal from NBC Chairman Bob Wright to make an appearance.
Created in 1926 as a subsidiary of the Radio Corporation of America (RCA), the National Broadcasting Co. debuted as the nation's first permanent radio network with a four-hour live broadcast on Nov. 15, 1926, from the old Waldorf-Astoria on Fifth Avenue and 34th Street in New York City.
